Strap Hangers and Steel Hangers

Strap Hangers When hanging wood frames we recommend Strap Hangers. They are zinc-plated to prevent rusting and are selected based on the size and weight of the frame. Steel HangersThey are strong and do not protrude from the back of the frame. This is an important consideration when crating, moving and exhibiting. When using hardwoods, we recommend predrilling holes for the screws.

Steel Hangers are used less frequently and are recommended only when the frame back is thin, the artwork is heavy and no strainers are being used for additional support.
